Excerpts:

“Singapore doesn’t plan to regulate cryptocurrencies such as bitcoin,” Bloomberg reported. However, he added that it “will remain alert to money laundering and other potential risks stemming from their use.”

“So we just have to look at them case by case to see which ones we will need to bring into the regulatory ambit, and which ones can stay outside,” Menon concluded.

This is really good news . There are a lot of token operations out of Singapore.

It'll be interesting to see how this develops in the future.

I'm sure they'll start to reconsider as more and more money starts pouring in to crypto.. especially with tokens that can be deemed as securities.

I'm watching a show about hotels right now, Singapore is a crazy place I'd love to travel to sometime. They have an incredibly high proportion of millionaires.

It also costs $55,000 just for the PERMISSION to own a car, and thats only good for 10 years.

No wonder they take this stance on cryptos - they must understand the importance of a free market to create true wealth.
