Good explanation of merkel roots and how hashing works for Bitcoin. I had heard the term before but never knew exactly what it meant ...

There is a lot of information about blockchain that I don't understand , but I trust people much smarter than me haha.

I'm with ya there my friend! I am more of a trader, so this technology is still a bit difficult for me to understand. Usually that means it's a very big deal.

I'm in the process of selling most of my stocks and moving them over to various cryptos right now.

This mycryptopedia has a lot of good articles, definitely going to be digging around a bit. I appreciate that everything is in one place.

Basically hashing with the merkel tree or this form of cryptography allows for the ability to secure information and systems against malicious attacks. Different methods are useful for different kinds of requirements. Hashing allows the ability to uniquely identify information in a way which is very very difficult to forge, alter, or reverse.
